What is PDO THREAD lift and how does it work?
The PDO threading procedure involves using various lengths of thin acupuncture sterile needles to embed PDO dissolving threads deep underneath the surface of the skin. These wires are placed strategically into the dermis, where it acts as a frame for lifting and tightening loose and sagging skin. The material from which these threads are made, Polydioxanone, is a safe substance that keeps the skin in its new tightened state for 4-6 months, whilst also synthesizing new collagen production. The lasting result will provide the skin with a fresh, well rested and firmer look whilst supporting new collagen formation for long lasting results.
This treatment can be used on the face, but also in various areas of the body where the main objective is creating a lift, rather than restoring volume.

PDO SMOOTH
​PDO (Polydioxanone) SMOOTH threads are fully absorbable, monofilament sutures combined with a thin needle in various thicknesses and lengths. Smooth (mono) threads stimulate collagen regeneration, improve fine wrinkles/lines and increase skin elasticity. The threads generally take about six months to fully biodegrade, and the results are typically known to last up to 12-24 months depending on the patient’s skin conditions.
PDO TWIST
VIOLA PDO TWIST threads include a PDO SMOOTH thread (7-0) that coils around the needle for maximized collagen regeneration stimulation. The twisted smooth thread creates more volume than the smooth thread.
PDO TWIN TWIST
VIOLA PDO TWIN TWIST threads include two separate PDO SMOOTH threads (7-0) that coil around the needle for maximized collagen regeneration stimulation. Two threads are twisted together to create even more volume after the insertion.
PDO SMOOTH BLUNT
VIOLA SMOOTH BLUNT threads use a blunt tip cannula (30G25mm) instead of a sharp needle to minimize the risk of bruising & swelling. This thread is mainly designed to target the areas where the risk of bruising is higher (dark circles under the eye, crow's feet area, etc.).
PDO COBRA COGLYFT
Our COBRA COGLYFT threads are our signature cutting-type barbed threads for general thread lifting procedures. The name 'cobra' refers to the unique shape of the cogs on the thread itself; hence, naming our barbed thread the COBRA COGLYFT. These bi- directional barbed threads use blunt-L type cannula to ensure safer delivery of barbed thread into a deep bottom layer of subcutaneous fat tissue.
PDO MOLDING COGLYFT
VIOLA MOLDING COGLYFT threads are molded type bi-directional barbed threads for general thread lifting procedures for clients with heavier skin tissue. The large size of the cogs and thickness of the thread shows superb lifting & anchoring power compared to conventional cutting-type barbed threads. It also has superior tensile strength compared to cutting-type barbed threads as it does not cut into the thread's main body.
PDO 5D FIX COGLYFT
VIOLA 5D FIX COGLYFT threads are 360° multi-cog types. The dispersed force of the cog lifts the skin tissue in the opposite direction of gravity and is fixed in place after the procedure, which prevents the migration of thread. 5D FIX COGLYFT has a strong tensile strength and has great effect on holding the tissue. 5D FIX COGLYFT can be used in conjunction with COBRA COGLYFT and MOLDING COGLYFT to deliver a better fixation to sagging skin.
PDO NOSELYFT
VIOLA PDO NOSELYFT threads are barbed threads with a blunt cannula designed for safe insertion into the nose bridge or columella of nose. Our NOSELYFT focuses on the secure fixation of the threads within the nose bridge or columella to enhance the nose bridge or tip accordingly.
PDO MESH 19G38mm
VIOLA MESH is a mesh-structured PDO SMOOTH thread with a 19-gauge blunt cannula. The smooth threads are braided together to create a mesh-like structure to maximize the effect of collagen formation around the inserted area. Our PDO MESH 19G38mm Mesh thread is recommended for nose bridge insertion, especially when the treatment is done along with HA filler.
PDO COGLYFT 20G70mm
This short bi-directional barbed thread can be considered for use by experienced practitioners to enhance the clients' nostrils by tightening and fixating skin tissue underneath.
PDO DOUBLELYFT
VIOLA DOUBLELYFT is a bi-directional needle cog thread, in which it has two separate needles attached to two opposite ends of the barbed thread. DOUBLELYFT provides practitioners a more creative approach towards thread lifting procedures than regular barbed threads and adds stronger anchoring and fixation to pulled skin tissue.
PDO FLAT MESH
Our FLAT MESH is another version of DOUBLELYFT thread with two separate blunt-tip needles attached to a thread with barbs and mesh-structured smooth threads. This thread is specially designed for double chin & neck enhancement, with different pulling mechanisms using mesh and molded cogs.

VIOLA MESH is a mesh-structured PDO SMOOTH thread with a 19-gauge blunt cannula. The smooth threads are braided together to create a mesh-like structure to maximize the effect of collagen formation around the inserted area and takes effect against the deep wrinkles. It is referred to as a PDO filler-like thread due to its huge amount of PDO threads in single insertion.
